Amber Davenport, PT, DPT
Education and Qualifications: Amber is an Aspen native, and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Amber has special interests in orthopedics, sports medicine as well as women’s health physical therapy. Women’s health focus areas include treatment during the pregnancy and postpartum periods as well as pelvic floor rehabilitation. Amber holds a Pilates mat certification and integrates Pilates concepts into her rehabilitation approach. She is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.
She has a passion for helping her patients achieve their optimum level function whether in their sport, vocation, or daily activities. Amber enoys teaching ACL injury prevention programs to local youth sports teams in the valley.
Personal Interests: Amber lives in Basalt with her husband, Ted, and their son, Eli. She likes to hike, run, ski, bike, and play outdoors with her family and friends.
Dr. Jeremy James, DC, CSCS
Education and Qualifications: BA, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Doctor of Chiropractic, Western States Chiropractic College, Portland Oregon. Jeremy is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Graston Technique Practitioner.
Dr. Jeremy James is the Director of The Aspen Club Back Institute. Jeremy specializes in permanent solutions to chronic back pain via functional movement training, myofascial trigger point therapy, rehabilitative strength training, joint mobilization, and patient education. Jeremy's passion is helping chronic back pain sufferers who have been frustrated by other treatments and therapies. He enjoys enabling his patients to go beyond the mere absence of pain to lead active, fulfilling lives.
Personal Interests: In his free time Jeremy enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, traveling, and being outdoors with his friends and family.
Chris Peshek, PT
Education and qualifications: Chris graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1991 and has worked at the Aspen Club Sports Medicine Institute for over 25 years. His specialties include manual therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, golf conditioning and rehabilitation, and working with the valleys' high school athletes to help them return to their sport of choice in the quickest manner possible.
Personal interests: Chris enjoys the community involvement aspect of the clinic as he has coached numerous youth teams through the years. He is presently an assistant coach for the Aspen High School football team, a post he has held for the past 11 years. Chris also loves spending his free time with his wife and 3 children enjoying all of the activities that the Roaring Fork valley offers.
Dr. Peter Scher, DC, CCEP, Certified Dry Needling Practitioner

Dr. Peter Scher, DC truly believes that structure dictates function. His goal as a chiropractor really is quite simple – to restore proper biomechanics, helping the body to heal effciently and correctly – getting you back out there in optimal form. He prides himself on his ability to help athletes and non-athletes achieve and maintain their functional goals. He believes no two bodies are the same and that’s reflected in his individually customized treatment plans. Dr. Scher excels at helping people return quickly to their chosen activity levels through biomechanical and structural changes that improve functionality.
As a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner as well as a Certified Dry Needling Practitioner, Dr. Scher, D.C. treats the whole person structurally from head to toe with an emphasis on detecting and correcting both the global and local kinetic chain dysfunction(s). His areas of expertise include Full Spine Diversified adjusting, CCEP extremity adjusting, Integrative Systemic Dry needling (ISDN), soft tissue manipulation/adhesion release, proprioceptive and core stabilization rehabilitation, Custom Corrective Orthotic design, and ergonomic training with an emphasis on patient education.
He makes custom corrective orthotics using a unique system where the feet are adjusted and rehabilitated prior to casting the orthotic, making for a true functional correction. Additionally, he has had great success treating rotator cuff syndromes, plantar fasciitis, lumbar and cervical disc herniation, TMJ syndrome, ankle sprains, back/neck pain, TOS, carpal tunnel syndrome, acute and chronic hip pain, knee pain, rib fixation and instability, lateral and medial epicondylitis, shin splints, and pelvic instability.
Personal Interests: As an avid telemark skier, snowboarder, and cyclist, Dr. Scher is empathetic to the needs of Aspen’s athletic community. “I want to continue doing the things that I love for as long as I live. I never want to miss a day. My patients feel the same way about their passions. I am dedicated to keeping people doing what they love to do for as long as they want to do it.”
Sarah Miller, PT, DPT
Sarah is originally from Greenville, SC. She attended Clemson University for her undergraduate degree and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). After her undergraduate studies, Sarah came to Aspen as an intern for Challenge Aspen where she assisted in instructing individuals with disabilities and earned a Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Level 1 Adaptive certification. As a student, she completed a clinical practicum at the Aspen Club Sports Medicine Institute where she developed a passion for orthopedics and sports medicine.
Sarah is thrilled to be a part of the team at the Aspen Club because of the friendly and skilled staff as well as the motivated patients who come for treatment. She is an enthusiastic physical therapist who is driven to be an integral part of each patient’s rehabilitation as they strive to reach their goals.
When she is not helping patients with their physical therapy rehabilitation, Sarah enjoys skiing, hiking, playing outdoors, and exploring the town. She also loves watching the Clemson Tigers play.
